Mylkhead + Go Media = Hi End Multimedia Bliss

I met up with the fine dudes at Go Media the other day for dinner at Max and Ermas. It was quite enjoyable. I’ve been conversing with the guys for about a year now with talks of joining forces someday. The two guys who run Go Media, Bill and Chris, are stand up guys who are really starting to put together a profitable design firm. They just added Oliver from Vantage Point Multimedia and Above this Fire fame to the team as well. Oliver is most known for working as a graphic designer for Derek Hess.

They said they are ready to expand and want to bring me on. It looks like I’ll be doing that. So all design inquiries will go through Go Media. And we would work on the project as a team.

Does this spell the end for Mylkhead? No. Mylkhead is still my individual portfolio and online alias. People can browse my portfolio and contact me just the same as usual. And I’ll be able to work with you just the same. However, now you’ll get the benefit of having a team of 4 kick-ass artists working for you.

Some may ask why I decided to team up and not keep flying solo. Well flying solo has it’s advantages, teaming up has more in my opinion. Working as a team, we can do more hi-end work. Stuff that would take an individual months to do. And all that legal mumbo jumbo and tax jargon is now out of my hands. I don’t have to worry about “doing the books.” I can concentrate on what I do best – design, branding, creative thinking.

I’ll work on-site in their new studio. This means I’ll get a new computer and all that fun stuff. I really look forward to kicking ass with the four of us. I could be starting as soon as next week. But I have full plate of work I need to finish off before I can do so. I want to be able to put all my effort into Go Media and see what we can do. The sky is the limit.

So if you need to work with me, just hold off a week or two. I want to make a smooth transition. Keep in mind, the rates won’t be the same as they are now. You’ll be getting a lot more with Go Media than I could ever do on my own. If you think your band or company could benefit from having the team work on your project, then great. And it will be easy to request me as your designer through Go Media. And I’ll still give you all the personal attention you are used to. If not more haha.

But I’ll continue to give you updates on the situation. Stay tuned…

Wow Jeff that’s great. Good Luck moving up the corporate ladder! Most importantly how does this firm feel about a certain project you were involved with including a cat and a THRILLing actor?
